Program Evaluation

Evaluate the outcomes of the Peer Support Program and student wellbeing at your school with our pre-program and post-program surveys.

Background information

A selection of surveys have been designed with consulting advice from Deakin University to help schools monitor outcomes of the Peer Support Program.

You can use the survey data to improve your strategic approach to whole school wellbeing. The data provides insights into:

  • development of student leadership skills
  • relationships between students
  • perspectives on how the Peer Support Program was run
  • expectations and perceived results of the program by staff
  • additional data on student wellbeing

Questions have been internationally tested and validated. All responses are kept anonymous, with no student or staff member identified. Completing these surveys requires agreement to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Disclaimer.

How to use the surveys

Complete the surveys both before and after running the program each year. We suggest students do this in class time with a teacher supervising.

Pre-Program is prior to conducting Peer Leader training or any session.
Post-Program is after all weekly sessions have concluded (ideally soon after).

In both instances, there are three different surveys:

  • Staff (10-15 mins.)
For any staff at school, not just those involved in running the program.
  • Peer Leaders (15-20 mins.)
For students to be trained to facilitate sessions, i.e. Year 6 for Primary & Year 10 for Secondary.
  • Group Members (10-20 mins.)
For Years 3-5 participants in Primary, and Year 7 in Secondary. We recommend teachers support Primary students by reading questions out as they answer individually.

Where to see the results

Request a link to the pre and post-program survey results on the right-hand sidebar of this page. You will be able to view and export results according to your needs. As each school year passes, you will also be able to view by response date to build a better picture over time.
