1. Introduction

Welcome to Peer Support Australia’s website and services. These terms and conditions govern your use of our website, products, and services. By accessing or using our website, purchasing our products, or subscribing to our services, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

2. Definitions

– “Peer Support Australia”, “we”, “our”, or “us” refers to the non-profit organisation based in Sydney, Australia, providing student wellbeing programs and services.

– “Website” refers to the official website of Peer Support Australia accessible at www.peersupport.edu.au.

– “Products” refers to any physical or digital goods offered for sale and / or under licence by Peer Support Australia.

– “Services” refers to the student wellbeing programs, consultations, talks, and any other services provided by Peer Support Australia.

– “Member” refers to any individual or organisation that has subscribed to Peer Support Australia’s services.

– “Membership” refers to the arrangement whereby a member gains access and the right to use Peer Support Australia’s licensed resources, content and services for a specified period, subject to payment of the membership fee.

3. Peer Support membership

3.1 Member Fees: The joining fee for Peer Support Australia’s services starts at $1,100 AUD (incl GST) which includes one-year of membership, program licence, and online training for one teacher at our Peer Support Implementation Workshop.  The annual renewal fee for membership and program licence is $275 AUD (incl GST) per year thereafter, as at 1st July 2023. These fees are reviewed annually and subject to change.  

3.2 Payment: We accept payment via credit card, bank transfer, or any other method as specified on our website. Prices quoted on the website are inclusive of GST. Credit card payments will attract an additional fee charged directly by Stripe, our payment service provider.

3.3 Renewal: Member schools will automatically be invited to renew their annual membership at the end of each membership period.

3.4 Cancellation: Members may cancel their membership at any time by contacting us directly. Refunds will not be provided for cancellations made during the membership period.

3.5 Cancellation policy for workshops: Workshop bookings that are cancelled less than 48 hours  prior to the workshop will need to be paid in full. We reserve the right to cancel workshops, and will contact you to arrange an alternative time for training.   

3.6 Program licensing: To implement the Peer Support Program and use our resources, schools must have a current membership paid in full, and at least one teacher who is an accredited Peer Support Coordinator. This means a teacher has attended an Implementation Workshop in the past 3 years.

4. Services

4.1 Description: Peer Support Australia provides the training and resources for member schools to implement and run the Peer Support Program.  Wellbeing talks are offered to member schools for an additional fee. Additionally, SRC workshops, bespoke whole school Peer Support training, and student wellbeing strategy consultations are available for purchase to both member and non-member schools.    

4.2 Member access: Members will have access to all program materials and resources, within either the primary school or secondary school area on our website, included in their membership package. Access is granted solely for the member’s use under licence by Peer Support Australia and may not be shared or distributed with other schools or organisations.

4.3 Copyright: All materials published by Peer Support Australia are protected by copyright law. Members are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Peer Support Program materials solely for the purpose of implementing the Peer Support Program within their school. Reproduction, distribution, or resale of the materials is strictly prohibited. Schools do not have permission to use Peer Support’s materials outside of a current membership.

Peer Support Australia’s SRC training participants are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the SRC training resources at their school.

5. Peer Support Implementation Workshops

5.1 Requirement: As part of their annual Peer Support membership, schools must ensure that at least one teacher on staff is accredited as a Peer Support Coordinator. This means a teacher has attended a Peer Support Implementation Workshop within the past three years.  

5.2 Training Options: Teachers are trained as Peer Support Coordinators by attending a Peer Support Implementation Workshop. This is delivered either face-to-face or online by Peer Support Australia.

5.3 Cost:

The cost of a one-day face-to-face training workshop is $550 AUD (incl GST) per person.

The cost of a two-hour online training workshop is $330 AUD (incl GST) per person.

For new Peer Support member schools, the fee for one teacher to attend online training is included in the joining fee. See clause 3.1. Additional participants are charged at the rates outlined above.

These costs are reviewed annually and subject to change.

5.4 Training Accreditation: Upon completion of the training, teachers are accredited and eligible to implement and coordinate the Peer Support Australia program for a period of three years. Teachers are required to renew their accreditation at the end of the three-year period to remain eligible to run Peer Support. This is achieved by attending a Peer Support Implementation Workshop.

6. Student Representative Council (SRC) Workshop

6.1 Description: Peer Support Australia offers an SRC workshop for teachers designed to assist schools establish and coordinate their Student Representative Councils.

6.2 Cost: The cost of the SRC workshop is $550 AUD (incl GST) per person. This includes a two-hour online workshop and an SRC leadership training resource for teachers to use at their schools to train SRC members. These costs are reviewed annually and subject to change.

6.3 Duration: The duration of the SRC workshop is typically 2 hours, hosted online.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 Exclusion of Liability: To the extent permitted by law, Peer Support Australia excludes all liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising directly or indirectly from the use of our website, products, or services.

7.2 Indemnification: Members agree to indemnify and hold Peer Support Australia harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from their use of our services or any breach of these terms and conditions.

8. General Provisions

8.1 Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

8.2 Severability: If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

8.3 Changes to Terms: Peer Support Australia reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Members are encouraged to review the terms and conditions periodically for changes.
