src leadership workshop

Peer Support Australia’s SRC Leadership training program is conducted throughout the year at various central locations. The workshop assists schools to develop an effective program that encourages meaningful and active participation of students across all areas of school life.

workshop details

This one day workshop provides primary and secondary teachers with opportunities to:

  • investigate democracy and the democratic process
  • identify what contributes to a positive school culture
  • identify a whole school approach with links to curriculum and welfare
  • identify structures for leadership opportunities
  • analyse existing models of leadership
  • develop an implementation model - increase your confidence in organising and sustaining a leadership program
  • experience networking and action planning
  • discuss student projects
  • model student leadership training activities

this workshop includes:

  • Resource materials and suggested activities to support teachers in developing a student leadership program are provided at the SRC Leadership Workshop
  • Morning tea and a light lunch will be provided
