Peer Support Australia is committed to helping schools develop safe and positive learning environments. To help achieve this through peer led education, Peer Support Australia offers a one day Implementation Workshop for primary and secondary teachers at various central locations.

The workshop provides an opportunity to investigate and develop an effective strategy, enabling young people to increasingly:

• take responsibility for their own wellbeing
• deal positively, proactively and resiliently with their life experiences
• be actively involved in and supported by their community

The workshop includes:

• investigating a whole school approach to building and enhancing a positive school culture
• highlighting the key underpinnings and benefits of the program
• learning how to implement and coordinate an effective and integrated Peer Support Program using a model of best practice
• identifying links to curriculum, policy and other educational initiatives
• developing an action plan that will assist in the implementation of the Peer Support Program in your school context
• experiencing some of the student leadership training to support you to confidently train Peer leaders
• current leadership training notes
• networking and sharing ideas with others

Support materials will be provided on registration
