primary modules

Peer Support Australia is dedicated to providing dynamic, peer led programs which foster the physical, social and mental wellbeing of young people and their community.

Each of the peer led modules forms part of a learning continuum aiming to assist young people to develop positive values, attitudes, behaviours and skills related to orientation, relationships, optimism, resilience, anti-bullying and values. School communities are able to plot a learning pathway through the modules to address their specific needs and goals.

Primary School Modules include:

NB: Modules are only available to schools who are current members and who have trained with Peer Support Australia in the last 5 years.

This 8 session module focuses on relationships. It provides opportunities for students to develop skills in maintaining positive friendships by learning how to play fairly, accept friendships change, support each other and acknowledge they may have a variety of friends.

This 8 session module focuses on providing a framework for students to learn about optimism with an emphasis on skills including positive self talk and empathy. Students learn the value and importance of approaching life optimistically and to persevere with challenging situations.

speaking up

This 8 session module is only available to schools currently implementing Anti-Bullying Training. Click here for more information.

This 8 session module focuses on anti-bullying. Students develop skills in decisions making, problem solving, assertiveness, empathy and relationship building.

This 8 session module is part of a whole school approach to address the issue of bullying behaviours in a positive way and includes staff training, teacher led lessons and a parent awareness raising session.
