guidelines for using our resources
Research supports a best practice model of implementation to maximize the efficacy of the Peer Support Program. As a result, Peer Support Australia has a requirement schools update their training regularly to maintain currency with the leadership training, current modules and implementation strategies. To this end schools which last trained in 2002 or earlier will be unable to purchase current modules prior to retraining. We encourage schools to send additional staff to training to share their knowledge base and workload, rather than training the same person each time.
Schools must have a current Manual (Primary or Secondary) prior to purchasing a module.
Schools must implement the Peer Support Program for one cycle (ie, one module) prior to purchasing the anti-bullying module. The anti-bullying module is part of a whole school approach to the issue of bullying behaviours in schools and experience has shown schools who have established the culture of the Peer Support Program in schools improve their outcomes.
Purchase of Peer Support Australia training and resource materials is covered by the Copyright Agency Limited (CAL). Schools may copy Peer Support Australia material in accordance with the Statutory Educational Licence and are asked to record the nature of such copying during CAL’s periodic auditing. Please note, Peer Support Australia does not provide Blackline Masters.
