The term ‘Wellbeing’ has become common place in the Education sector but how do we ensure it exists in classrooms and not just in Mission Statements?
On August 24, the Association of Independent Schools (AIS) will host a conference in Parramatta with a focus on Wellbeing.
Dr Sue Roffey and Kathryn Lovewell will share their expertise in building authentic social capital in school communities.
Peer Support Australia will be one of many organisations presenting a workshop at the conference. Research indicates that creating opportunities for authentic peer connections across the school leaves students feeling supported and increases enjoyment and wellbeing. Our workshop will explore the impacts of the Primary Peer Support Program from the perspective of Year 6 Peer Leaders and their teacher.
